"We embrace a philosophy here that recognizes that we are all on a journey we call life and along the way we will hit bumps in the road. Catholic Charities is here to provide help to get past those tough spots in the journey."

Programs and Services

Catholic Charities facilitates the adoption of infants, supporting birth and adoptive families throughout the process. Part of this process may be counseling women experiencing an unplanned pregnancy.

Our counseling staff provides understanding, caring, and support to help individuals and families deal with life challenges, behavioral problems, and family relationships.

Elderly Case Management

Catholic Charities provides individualized support services to persons over age 60 or who are disabled. This includes a program that loans medical equipment-such as wheelchairs, walkers, and shower benches-to those that need them.

Our emergency services programs help low-income individuals and families meet their basic needs-food, clothing, and shelter.

This program aims to get homeless people off the streets and into permanent housing.

Responding to CPS abuse and neglect reports, Family Builders is a state-sponsored program that provides services to improve the well-being of families by reducing the risk factors that could lead to an out-of-home placement of the children.

Families FIRST offers substance abuse treatment to people who are referred by CPS, Family Builders, the Department of Developmental Disabilities, or the JOBS Administration.

Catholic Charities presents an abstinence education curriculum in public and private schools that teaches children and teens about the value of waiting until marriage before becoming sexually active.

We recruit loving and stable families to care for children in the custody of Child Protective Services. We also assist in the adoption process when these children find a permanent home with an adoptive family.

This program connects people in crisis with needed community resources that can help them move beyond crisis to a state of emotional and financial stability. The program can also offer financial assistance for various purposes when necessary.

North Star Youth Partnership, formerly Teenage Pregnancy Prevention Program (TAPP) is a collaborative program that seeks to reduce adolescent pregnancy in Yavapai County. Catholic Charities in Yavapai County is a partner in this collaborative, teaching children, ages 10-18, how to deal responsibly with issues of sexual activity prior to marriage.
