DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Participate in the initial and all following CFT’s with the family and assist in the creation of the reunification, visitation, stabilization, and aftercare plans
• Meet with families weekly according to the reunification plans.
• Teach family general parenting strategies through role modeling and other educational activities. Provides alternatives to physical discipline, helps families with budgeting, meal preparation, and household management.
• Monitor families’ progress and report progress notes and any other required paperwork within required timeframes.
• Monitor families for signs of abuse or neglect and report concerns to the appropriate agencies.
• Attend relevant community groups to learn what services are available.
• Attend relevant trainings to ensure job proficiency.
• Perform any other job-related tasks deemed necessary and/or as assigned by supervisor
QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:
• Must have knowledge of Family Centered Practice model, community resources, child abuse prevention, and problem solving with multi-problem families. Catholic Charities will provide training if the case manager lacks knowledge in these areas.
• Bachelor degree in Social Work, Psychology or related human service field strongly preferred.
• Prior experience in Child Welfare required; experience in family centered practice, child protective services and in-home services preferred.
• Must be able to obtain fingerprint clearance.
• Bilingual in Spanish an asset.
• Driving is an essential function. Must have a valid AZ Driver License, AZ registration, insurance, and reliable transportation.
SALARY: Grade 10 position, $27,264 to $32,839, depending on experience.
