DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Answer crisis phones as needed during shift in professional manner, completing assessment form on potential residents and making referrals for callers in need of other services.
• Document all crisis calls on phone log, notifying CONTACS of changes in capacity as bed space becomes available.
• May be required to complete intake paperwork during shift for incoming residents.
• May occasionally develop and/or update an individual service plan with a client.
• Provide casework and/or individual crisis counseling to clients as requested during shift.
• Provide written documentation of activities with contact (or lack of) noted in residents file.
• Conduct scheduled and unscheduled walk-through of premises as needed to monitor completion of household chores and general maintenance of facility, advising Supervisor of any problems or repairs.
• Attend general shelter staff meetings as scheduled and any other training as required.
• May perform additional job related tasked as needed or assigned by Supervisor.
QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:
• Must be female, BFOQ.
• AA in Social Work or in a closely related field strongly preferred. Three years experience working with victims of family violence or other residential programs may be substituted for degree.
• Minimum of one year paid work experience or internship in domestic violence shelter, children’s Crisis center, casework and/or residential program.
• Requires general knowledge of domestic and family violence.
• Valid AZ Driver license, valid insurance, and reliable transportation required.
SALARY: Grade 10 position, $13.11 to $15.79/hr depending on experience.
